Mom sent me an email forward today, and it reminded me of my morning yesterday.....
I was carrying three boxes full of cookies (not sealed yet) to send to our college-kid-siblings:), and everything started to go wrong. #1- I was already running behind. #2- I opened the door, hit the garage-door-opener, and the door started to open, but the light was suddenly burned out. #3- In trying to stumble up the steps into our garage, I dropped something out of a box #4- Finding my car, I realized the passenger doors were locked #5- I dropped something else #6- I made my way around to the drivers door, and realized IT was locked too #7- I dropped something else (all objects unknown as it's still pitch dark) #8- As I (finally) set everything down on the garage floor (I know, I know, I'm a little slow), I step on something I previously dropped. #9- As I rush back into the house to turn a light on & find my keys in my purse, I trip down the steps. #10- As I FINALLY get going, I realize I've never "hauled" anything with me in my new car with LEATHER seats, and the boxes slid ALL over the backseat on my way to work, with one falling on the floor at the first red light. SIGH!
Thankfully I, #1- arrived to work safely #2 had only one red light out of ELEVEN #3- arrived to work ON the last minute possible (without being counted late- 6:04am) #4- NONE of the cookies broke!! LOL! (it was all packaging tape/markers/greeting cards that fell out)
Maybe this is why all that happened! ~~~

Alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
Because of an auto accident.
One of them
Missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
Time to change.

Car wouldn't start.
One couldn't
Get a taxi.
T he one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work
But before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid .
That is why he is alive today..

All the little things that annoy me.

God wants me to be

those are great reminders. there are mornings like that for me, AND i'll admit there have been multiple times i've gotten stuck late at work for various reasons, and find that there are a number of accidents and what-not. God has a reason for everything:) nice, encouraging post - as sometimes it's hard to be thankful for "things unplanned."
